General Info
  • The Barn at Lonestar Acres is seasonal — weddings held May through October.
  • We offer weekend packages from Friday at 10 a.m to Sunday at 2 p.m. We do not offer day packages for events. 
  • In‐person tours available by appointment.
  • Grounds include: main barn, bridal suite, and chapel. The house is not included.
  • Only one event is hosted at a time; exclusivity of the property for your date.
  • Maximum guest capacity: 150 people
  • Ample parking in the field across from the barn.
  • The venue provides elegant farm tables and comfortable white resin padded chairs, with seating for up to 150 guests at your reception.
  • Ceremony seating: wooden benches are included. White resin chars are available for an additional fee.
  • Ceremony locations: three outdoor ceremony sites are available on the property.
  • Rain plan: ceremony can be held inside the designated chapel area of the barn.
  • Decorating is allowed; setup can start as early as 10:00 am on Friday.

At The Barn at LoneStar Acres, we exclusively offer weekend wedding rentals, giving you the time and flexibility to enjoy your celebration without feeling rushed. We do not offer single-day rentals.

Our weekend rental package includes exclusive access to the venue from Friday at 10:00 AM through Sunday at 2:00 PM.

This extended rental period allows you to settle in, decorate and prepare the venue, host your rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, celebrate your wedding day, and enjoy ample time for cleanup on Sunday.

We believe your wedding should be more than just a few hours of celebration. Our weekend-only approach gives you the freedom to create a memorable experience with family and friends while making the entire weekend feel relaxed and enjoyable.

Please note: While the venue is yours to enjoy throughout the weekend, on-site overnight accommodations are not included. We do have limited cabin rentals for an additional fee. 

Vendors, Food & Drink

  • Caterers & Vendors: All caterers must be Vermont-licensed, fully insured, and approved by the venue prior to the event. The placement and setup of all caterers and vendors must be approved by the venue in advance to ensure proper use of the property. Please note that The Barn at Lonestar Acres does not currently have a commercial kitchen, and vendors should plan accordingly.

  • Alcohol Policy: The Barn at LoneStar Acres is pleased to offer exclusive, in-house bar services to make your event seamless and stress-free. All alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, and liquor, are provided and served exclusively through The Barn at LoneStar Acres by our professional bartending staff.

    We offer a variety of bar packages, including hosted bar options and cash bar services, allowing you to select the experience that best fits your event and budget. Package details and pricing are available upon request.

    Outside alcohol vendors, third-party bartending services, and BYOB are strictly prohibited. All alcoholic beverages must be supplied and served by our authorized bartending team. Self-service of alcohol is not permitted anywhere on the property.

    Our team will work with you to ensure your bar service is professionally managed, convenient, and tailored to your celebration.

  • No Bonfires: Bonfires are not permitted anywhere on the property.
  • No Fireworks: Fireworks are prohibited due to the presence of livestock on the farm.
  • Sparklers: Sparklers may not be used inside the barn. Special permission may be granted in advance for sparklers used outdoors at least 30 feet away from the barn.
  • No Candles: For safety reasons, candles are not permitted at the venue.
  • No nails, tacks, screws, staples, etc. in walls, posts, beams, or woodwork.
  • No rice, confetti, glitter (inside or outside).
  • No structural alterations to grounds, barn, gardens, etc.

  • Booking Your Date: To reserve your wedding date, a signed rental agreement and a $4,000 non-refundable deposit are required at the time of booking. An additional $4,000 payment is due 180 days prior to your wedding date. The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to the event. Please note: A 9% Vermont Meals & Rooms Tax will be added to the total rental fee and is not included in the quoted pricing.

  • Damage Deposit: A $1,000 damage deposit is due 30 days before your event. This will be refunded after the event, provided there are no damages or additional cleanup needed.

  • Cancellation Policy: All payments made toward your event, including the initial $3,500 deposit, are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation for any reason, no refunds will be issued for any payments made to date, regardless of when the cancellation occurs.                            
  • Event End Time: Out of respect for our neighbors, all weddings and events conclude by 10:00 p.m. Cleanup must be completed by 2:00 p.m. Sunday. All guests are asked to depart the property by 12:00 a.m. each day on the property.

  • Cleanup: A detailed cleaning checklist will be provided prior to your wedding and must be followed in full. If the premises are not left in clean condition, a $500 cleanup fee will be deducted from the damage deposit. All personal items, including decorations and flowers, must be fully removed by 12 p.m. on Sunday.

  • The caterer must leave the catering area as found, free of waste or litter. The Barn should be left in the same condition as it was upon arrival.
 
  • Couples must obtain event insurance ($2,000,000 liability), and name the barn as an additional insured.
  • Vendors also must have liability insurance and name the venue as an additional insured.
