Yes, we do offer weekend rentals based on availability and for an additional fee. A weekend rental is a great option for couples who want to host their rehearsal dinner at the barn and enjoy celebrating with family and friends throughout the entire weekend. Please note that while the barn is available for extended use, we do not offer on-site lodging.

Weekend Rental
Vendors, Food & Drink
Caterers & Vendors: All caterers must be Vermont-licensed, fully insured, and approved by the venue prior to the event. The placement and setup of all caterers and vendors must be approved by the venue in advance to ensure proper use of the property. Please note that The Barn at Lonestar Acres does not currently have a commercial kitchen, and vendors should plan accordingly.
Alcohol Policy: All alcohol must be provided and served exclusively by a caterer or restaurant holding a valid Vermont State liquor license and appropriate insurance. BYOB is not permitted under any circumstances. Self-service of alcoholic beverages is not allowed anywhere on the property. Please note that The Barn at Lonestar Acres does not provide coolers or ice. Vendors are responsible for supplying all necessary equipment and should plan accordingly.
Fire & Safety Policies
- No Bonfires: Bonfires are not permitted anywhere on the property.
- No Fireworks: Fireworks are prohibited due to the presence of livestock on the farm.
- Sparklers: Sparklers may not be used inside the barn. Special permission may be granted in advance for sparklers used outdoors at least 30 feet away from the barn.
- No Candles: For safety reasons, candles are not permitted at the venue.
Rules / Prohibited Items
- No nails, tacks, screws, staples, etc. in walls, posts, beams, or woodwork.
- No rice, confetti, glitter (inside or outside).
- No structural alterations to grounds, barn, gardens, etc.
Booking/Cancelation/Timing
Booking Your Date: To reserve your wedding date, a signed rental agreement and a $2,000 non-refundable deposit are required at the time of booking. An additional $2,000 payment is due 180 days prior to your wedding date. The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to the event. Please note: A 9% Vermont Meals & Rooms Tax will be added to the total rental fee and is not included in the quoted pricing.
Damage Deposit: A $1,000 damage deposit is due 30 days before your event. This will be refunded after the event, provided there are no damages or additional cleanup needed.
- Cancellation Policy: All payments made toward your event, including the initial $2,000 deposit, are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation for any reason, no refunds will be issued for any payments made to date, regardless of when the cancellation occurs.
- Event End Time: Out of respect for our neighbors, all weddings and events conclude by 10:00 p.m. Cleanup must be completed by 11:00 p.m., and all guests are asked to depart the property by 12:00 a.m. This allows our team adequate time to prepare the grounds for events scheduled the following day.
Cleanup
Cleanup: A detailed cleaning checklist will be provided prior to your wedding and must be followed in full. If the premises are not left in clean condition, a $500 cleanup fee will be deducted from the damage deposit. All personal items, including decorations and flowers, must be fully removed by 12 a.m.
- The caterer must leave the catering area as found, free of waste or litter. The Barn should be left in the same condition as it was upon arrival.
Insurance
- Venue has its own liability insurance.
- Couples must obtain event insurance ($2,000,000 liability), and name the barn as additional insured.
- Vendors also must have liability insurance and name the venue as additional insured.
